Health & Safety Tips: Offices

Offices are semi-public places that accept visitors usually only by appointment. There’s a much lower risk of contracting COVID-19 from an office than from a fully public place. Still, the health & safety of our employees is a huge priority for us and to that end, we have implemented the following procedures in our own offices:

  1. We’re using a contactless infrared thermometer to take the temperature of every single person that walks in, whether visitor, employee, or delivery person.

  2. We have placed a contactless hand sanitizer station at the entrance and are asking everybody to disinfect their hands before entering the premises.

  3. We are requiring all employees to wear face coverings in common areas.

  4. We have spaced out workstations so that no 2 employees are within 6’ distance of each other.

  5. We have staggered lunch times so our employees can maintain a safe distance of at least 6 feet when enjoying their lunch in the cafeteria. Also, we’re asking them to thoroughly wipe all the surfaces they touched with sanitizing wipes or the UV Wand before they leave the cafeteria.

  6. We are asking employees to disinfect their workstations 3 times a day with either a UVC wand or sanitizing wipes.

  7. We are sanitizing restrooms and common areas with UVC lights and/or foggers on rotation.

  8. We have placed additional HEPA/UV air purifiers throughout the office to try to keep our air as clean as possible.

NOTE: The information in this blog has been sourced from reputable websites and specific individuals implementing precautionary measures within their own businesses. DIG is not responsible nor liable for recommending such precautionary practices. These measures are in place in order to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), and does not prevent you from contracting any disease or virus. If you have any questions or other concerns regarding the COVID-19, please consult with your doctor or another licensed health care professional.
